Christmas

December 19th was our Christmas and boy was it fun! It was so fun watching the kids open their presents and get excited about each thing, especially Hayden. He is at a great age for Christmas! I'm not sure if he really understood why he was getting so many presents and toys but he sure loved it! Sometimes when I was wrapping I thought wow these kids are getting lots of stuff! I guess that's the bonus of their mom getting deals all year long!

There were so may presents Hayden didn't know where to start...

checking out their stocking stuff...

Playing...

see that cute little kitchen {well kitchen pieces} in the background. that's what I was talking about.
Really cute! Really a pain!
Santa needed some help from mommy & daddy so we will have to help him when we get back from Colorado

Opening presents...

Brinley's First Baby Doll. She loved it!

He is SO his father's son! Can you just hear that sound effect! Love this little guy!

Brinley was SO whiny from the second she woke up. She didn't want anything to with her bottle and her toys and presents would make her stop for a minuet. We almost put her back in bed, but decided to try some cheerios first. It did the trick! She was fine after she sat down and ate some cheerios! Silly girl!

More presents...

Brinley LOVES touch and feel books!

Love this....

I wondered if he would even like this Sesame Street toy, but he LOVED it! He carries it all around the house and calls it Elmo's house!

I Love Christmas and this year was no exception!

Josh and I scored with our presents too! I got some photography stuff that I have wanted and a few clothes and other things and Josh got some new running shoes, work out stuff, a new jacket and some other things he has been wanting. Christmas was so fun!

Oh and after our tree fell over multiple times last year we opted to get a fake tree this year. I didn't know if I would like it because we didn't want to spend the money right now on a really full tree, but I LOVED it! What a cool invention! Pull it out of the box. Attach 3 pieces. Plug the lights in together. Straighten out the branches and WAH-LAH! It was wonderful!!

Now off to Colorado...

Christmas Eve

We had such a great Christmas this year! We celebrated a little early so that we could go to Colorado. Our Christmas Eve was December 18. We started the day by making and decorating some sugar cookies for Santa. This little guy loved it! He helped me roll them out, cut them out, put frosting on, sprinkle them and taste test them to make sure they were good enough for Santa!

That evening we had our traditional yummy dinner and then opened one present, pajamas for the kids! Since that is a little boring for a kid we let them open their presents to each other. Brinley gave Hayden a new Anakin guy and Hayden gave Brinley some blocks. They both loved them!

Josh opened a present from me, new light weight running shoes. I couldn't stand the suspense my brother had built up about the present he had for me so I chose to open his present. When I unwrapped the wrapping paper it said that Josh had to open his at the same time. So Josh opened his too and they were bobble heads of us! Very cool! They sit on our dresser in our room now so we look at them every day.

The kids posed for a picture by the tree in their new matching snowman pj's. Then we read some Christmas stories and Brinely went to bed while Hayden watched part of the polar express.

Right before going to bed Hayden put out the cookies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph.

Josh and I finished helping Santa get the presents ready for the next morning which included assembling a very cute wooden kitchen that we got on sale after Christmas the year before, yes we were those parents I never thought we would be with a million...yes a million...pieces all over the floor trying to make them look like a kitchen. After 3 hours it still didn't look like a kitchen, and it was midnight, so we gave up and went to bed.

Our Next Stop

We found out a few weeks ago that after dental school we will be moving to Twentynine Palms, California. Three years ago we joined the Navy to help us get through dental school, and so that I could stay home with our kids. We have been anxiously waiting to find out where we will be going. We were hoping for the West coast so we could be closer to family. So we were pretty excited when California was one of our options and even more excited when we got it! We're not sure too much about the area all we know is that it is outside of Palm Springs, it is the largest Marine Core base in the world {the navy takes care of the marines}, and it has a population of about 15,000. We're pretty excited about the outdoors stuff there is to do nearby and I am ready to trade the humid heat for the dry heat!

SNOW

Hayden LOVES the snow! He wants to run in it, jump in it, play in it, but the most fun thing about the snow is eating it! He grabs a hand full every time we walk outside. He asks to eat snow when it snows, and he eats the snow off his boots when we are in the car!

Merry Christmas!

7 Years!

Holy cow I can't believe it's been 7 years since we got married. We've been through a lot together and I can't wait for many more years and adventures! Love ya Babe!
