The Fray

The other day when I was talking to my brother he said that he thinks Hayden looks like the lead singer of The Fray. Of course I know the band but I had to google them to remember his face. I see the resemblance but more importantly this led to me remembering that I had heard on the radio that they were coming here so I looked up their concert schedule and ticket prices and we decided that we should buy tickets and go to their concert!! We are SO excited! It's not until June 17th but we are so excited we have been rocking out to their music since we bought the tickets!!

Spring Break

After getting back from Vegas Josh studied and took 3 of his boards practice tests and went into the lab for a few hours. Even though he was studying it was so nice to have him home most of the time and not have anywhere we had to be or anything we had to do. We loved playing with Hayden, going for walks, watching shows, taking naps together and just hanging out as a family. Now Josh is back in school...but there is only 6 weeks left in the semester and then it will be down hill from here...hopefully!!

Vegas

Josh's spring break started on the 13th after classes so we flew to Vegas that night to meet up with some of our family. Josh's parents and Jamison drove down from Cedar City and my mom came from Idaho and my sister, Teri, and her husband, Tom, and their son, Conrad, came from Arizona. We crashed at my sister Camille's house who lives in Vegas. Josh spent the next day with his family at the Hoover Dam half marathon where his dad and brother raced. While I went to the Bellagio buffet, water show, and flower garden with my family and then to the park to play flag football. I met up with Josh and his family Sunday morning for breakfast and then we spent the rest of the day with my family. We flew back home on Monday. It was a quick weekend but it was so much fun to get away, see our family and be in warm weather!! Hayden was sick with a nasty cold and horrible cough which was sad. I hate it when he's not his happy little self. Not to mention it made the plane rides full of way more excitement than they needed to be! He would have coughing attacks where he coughed so hard he would throw up...not fun for anyone! Thanks everyone for coming and for such a fun getaway!

Good thing he's such a cute little guy!!!

oh and while we were gone we had our neighbor's son...he's about 13...watching our dogs. He called me on Sunday morning and said that he let them out back and went over to his house really quick and when he came back Whitney was gone! He was SO nervous to tell me...I would be too! We reassured him that it was not his fault. She does things like this. We called the pound and left our info and have not heard anything back. She's gone. It's weird not having her around and it was a sad way to have her go, because we don't know what happed to her or where she is, but to be honest it's been kind of nice without her.

9 Months Old

Weight: 18lbs 13oz ~ 10%
Height: 29 3/4 in. ~90%
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 in. ~50%

On the 5th of March Hayden turned 9 months old. He is crawling now which means he is into everything! And he puts everything in his mouth...I fish things out of his mouth that I didn't even know were on the floor! He is also a wiggle worm and rarely stays in one place for very long. He has started to occasionally cry when Josh or I walk out of the room. He babbles all the time. Gives kisses and associates dada and mama with Josh and me. He is a really good eater...we haven't found anything that he won't eat...when he is eating sometimes he says mmm after he takes a bite. He pushes his cars and trucks around like he is driving them and makes a noise that sounds like vroom vroom...super adorable! He can't get enough of the keyboard and if we would let him he would pound away at it forever. He still does not have any teeth, but he is seems to gum things pretty well. He is getting some hair though. Every few days Josh comes home and says how he has so much more hair and it seems to be brown, so far anyway. From the stats you can tell that he is tall and skinny so we always have to go to the next size in pants and pajamas way before shirts and jackets. Right now he is too tall for his 9 month and 6-12 month pants so I pulled out his 12-18 month pants and I can tell we will quickly be running into the problem of the length being right but the waist being way too big. He has been in 12 month pajamas for a while now but any day I'm going to have to get out the 18 month pj's. I can't believe how fast time has flown...he's almost a year old! Lots of times when I'm holding him or rocking him I think I wish he would stop growing and be my baby forever, but then again all the new things he is doing are so fun so we will try to cherish the moments and enjoy the present. We love you so much Hayden and we are so lucky to have you in our family! sword fighting with his dad... so stink'n cute!
He loves to sleep with the blankets by his face. He wiggled around when we layed him down and ended up at the opposite end of his bed in the complete opposite direction that we layed him in.
He loves playing with the dogs
He crawls everywhere
Bath time is so fun!
He's getting so big!

Uncle Jayson

Josh's brother Jayson came to see us for a few days. It was so fun having him here. I took him to see Niagara Falls and of course it was raining that day...it always rains on the days we plan to take people to the falls. Anyway because of all the rain and the time of year it was so misty you couldn't see anything! It was like a huge fog cloud covered all of the falls. We drove to the Canada side and Jayson was able to get a glimpse of one little spot. I felt so bad because it was the only thing he said he wanted to do while he was here. But we did make a quick stop at the Hershey store to get some chocolate and a huge cookie...it's totally a tradition now we have to do it every time!

We went bolwling one night while he was here. I consider myself a pretty good bowler so I talked a lot of junk on our way there about how I was going to beat everybody, but especially Josh. Well...in all reality I did not do very well and Josh beat me both games we played. For the record in the 2nd game he only beat me in the last frame! I wanted to go back the next night to prove that I could win, but of course Josh didn't want to...he was, and still is, afraid that he won't be the "bowling champion" anymore!

Jayson went in to the lab with Josh a few times and he played with Hayden. Hayden loved all the extra attention. We loved having you here Jayson! Come back soon!!

My Dentist From Now On

A few weeks ago I went to the school to see Dr. Josh. He did an exam, x-rays and a cleaning. Like always he did an awesome job...good thing since he is going to be my dentist from now on!
