Sweet Little Baby

*NO this is NOT an announcement

My friends and I threw a baby shower for our friend Melissa. She is having her 3rd baby and it's her first girl so we had to have a party! I had fun planning and preparing for it and with the help of Natalie and Kalie I think it turned out pretty well.

We had a "sweet" theme so we had lots of sweets and a little bag for everyone to fill before they went home.

27

I turned 27 on Saturday, and I was showered with Love from everyone! I got lots of fun gifts, phone calls, texts, cards, visits, emails and facebook messages. I'm not really in love with the idea of being closer to 30, but that's still a few years away!

We spent the day together hanging out, being lazy and silly, getting brunch, taking a nap and then we ended the day by going out to dinner together.

It was a good day! Thanks everyone for making my day special!

The only picture I got from the day was this one with my cute little miss!

I LOVE Fall

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, too bad it doesn't last long enough. I love the weather, the leaves, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, and I recently found pumpkin milk. I loved it, and I'm not really a milk lover. Pretty much anything pumpkin I love!

I also love fall clothes. Sweaters, jackets, scarves, hats and dressing my kids up in Halloween clothes and pajamas is a favorite too! I just love this time of year!

Halloween

This year for Halloween Hayden was super Grover, from Sesame Street. I originally thought that I would make him a cape with an "H" on it and he could be super Hayden. He loves anything that flies. When people would ask what he was going to be for Halloween he would say, "super Grover" So, we decided that's what he should be. I found a super Grover hat online, and when we received it in the mail he did not take it off for 3 days straight, he slept with it and everything! He still wears it and sleeps with it so I guess it was a great purchase!

Brinley was a bee. I think she was the cutest bee I've ever seen! I love holidays with these little munchkins! We went to the mall for playgroup the Thursday before Halloween. Hayden loved it! He got to be with all of his friends and everyone was giving him candy. He was very timid about taking candy, but said thank you every time.

Brinley was so tired after the mall trick or treating.
What a cute sleepy bee!

On Halloween night Hayden was so cute going door to door in our neighborhood knocking and saying trick or treat. We only went to a few houses, but he thought it was pretty fun. It was fun watching him too!

Pumpkin Carving

We {and by that I mean Josh. Hayden & I just picked out the picture and watched the master at work. Brinley was in bed.} carved our pumpkin with Hayden the night before Halloween. We talked about making a face on our pumpkin all week. When we would leave the house Hayden would say, "carve a BIGGG face on the pumpkin" He thought it was so fun to put a candle in the pumpkin and then put it outside for everyone to see.

a little pumpkin

Hayden got his very own little pumpkin when we went to the farmer's market. He drew on it with marker multiple times, and he put it by his plate whenever he ate. He would often say "mommy what's that?" while pointing to the pumpkin. "what is it Hayden?" "a punkin."
