WE ARE HAVING A BOY

We found out this morning that we are having a boy! We are excited! More importantly he is healthy, and everything is going great! His heartbeat is 150 and he is 10 oz. His name will probably be Hayden, we have loved that name for a long time.

CAN WE SAY EXCITED!

THE OTHER DAY I DECIDED TO LOOK AT THE BABY STUFF THAT I HAVE. IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THIS I STARTED TO HANG UP THE CLOTHES. THIS IS THE OUTCOME. MOST OF THEM ARE THE RESULT OF A FEW GOOD GARAGE SALES, OTHER PEOPLE'S GENEROSITY AND EXCITEMENT, AND AMAZING SALES THAT OVER TIME I JUST COULDN'T PASS UP. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE THAT MOST OF THE TAGS HAVE CLEARANCE STICKERS ON THEM. WHO CAN PASS UP $1.49 OR $.97 FOR AN OUTFIT...OBVIOUSLY NOT ME! BUT IN ALL REALITY THIS IS NOT THAT MUCH CONSIDERING IT'S ALL SIZES AND BOTH GENDERS...RIGHT?!
JUST A REMINDER THAT WE FIND OUT TOMORROW IF IT'S A BOY OR A GIRL! WE HAD TO MOVE IT BACK A WEEK DUE TO JOSH'S INTENSE SCHOOL SCHEDULE. I WAS NOT TOO EXCITED ABOUT THAT BUT I FIGURED THAT WAITING A WEEK AND HAVING HIM THERE WAS MORE IMPORTANT.

President Hinckley

I've seen so many other posts honoring our Prophet that I decided since this is somewhat of a journal for me that I would do the same.

President Hinckley has been the Prophet most of my life. I remember other ones but during all of my teenage years, my college years, and the first few years of our marriage he has been the one receiving divine inspiration to guide our church. He will be remembered for his sweet, gentle, inspirational talks, his 6 B's, the many temples that have been constructed under his direction, the wave of his cane, his witty humor, and much much more.

When I heard of his death I was sad, but it must have been so great for him to be back with his wife.
I also wanted to include his testimony.

"I hope that all of you will remember that on this Sabbath day you heard me bear my witness that this is God's holy work. The vision given the Prophet Joseph in the grove of Palmyra was not an imaginary thing. It was real. It occurred in the broad light of day. Both the Father and the Son spoke to the boy. He saw Them standing in the air above him. He heard Their voices. He gave heed to Their instruction."It was the resurrected Lord who was introduced by His Father, the great God of the universe. For the first time in recorded history, both the Father and the Son appeared together to part the curtains and open this, the last and final dispensation, the dispensation of the fullness of times."The Book of Mormon is all that it purports to be—a work recorded by prophets who lived anciently and whose words have come forth "to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations" (Book of Mormon title page)."The priesthood has been restored under the hands of John the Baptist and Peter, James, and John. All the keys and authority pertaining to eternal life are exercised in this Church."Joseph Smith was and is a prophet, the great Prophet of this dispensation. This Church, which carries the name of the Redeemer, is true."I leave you my testimony, my witness, and my love for each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen." President Gordon B. Hinckley April 1, 2006, Sunday morning session of the 176th Annual World General Conference

Our 4th Anniversary

One month later we were able to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to go to Johnny Corinos while we were in Colorado because that is the restaurant where Josh took me before he proposed, but with all the craziness of the holidays we did not make it there before it was time to come home. So we celebrated it tonight! We went to dinner and talked and reminisced and exchanged cute heartfelt, sentimental gifts. The past 4 years have been full of excitement, joys, sorrows, challenges, and adventures. And we've made it through it all together. I'm so glad we have eternity to keep making memories. I love ya babe!
